                          What and When.  You are invited by the American Real Estate and Urban Economics
                                 Association (AREUEA) and the Asian Real Estate Society (AsRES) to participate in their joint
                                 International Conference to take place
June 30 - July 3, 2006 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
                                
The conference will be held
at the historic Fairmont Hotel Vancouver in downtown Vancouver.
                                 It
will provide a forum for academics, practitioners and policymakers to present, hear, and discuss
                                 the latest research findings in the areas of urban economics, real estate markets, real estate
 
                                finance, development and investment, and housing.  For more information please go to

                                 Submissions.  Papers and/or abstracts MUST BE submitted on-line via the AREUEA conference
                                 website at http://www.areuea.org/conferences/papers.phtml or by following the links from the
                                 AREUEA or AsRES home pages to the International Conference.  Select ¡§On-line Submission¡¨
                                 and be sure to specify ¡§2006 International Conference.¡¨  Abstracts must be submitted by January
                           23, 2006
and provide the following information: Title of the paper, two or three key words
                                 indicating the topic, corresponding author¡¦s name, institutional affiliation, complete address,
                                 telephone, facsimile and E-mail address. Contact information is requested for each additional
                                 author
.  Preference will be given to complete papers.   

                           Session Language.  Depending on demand, we will offer sessions in Chinese (Mandarin),
                                 Japanese, and Korean.  Submitters must indicate their preferred session language at the time of
                                 paper submission. 

                                Tentative Timetable

                                 ¡P        23 January 2006:           Deadline for submission of papers or abstracts
                                                      ¡P        1 March 2006:               Confirmation of abstract/Notification to authors
                           ¡P        1 May 2006:                  Deadline for conference registration/Hotel Booking
                           ¡P        8 June 2006:                  Submission of Final Paper
